Thousands of student-athletes have received their education at the University of South Carolina through the generous contributions of the Gamecock Club, the University’s official athletic booster and fundraising organization. Hosts of alumni and loyal fans of Gamecock teams joined themselves in a “Commitment to Excellence” through their financial support in educating the young men and women who proudly wear the Garnet and Black and represent the University of South Carolina.
The charter of the Gamecock Club is approved by the NCAA, the Southeastern Conference, the University of South Carolina and the Athletics Director of the University of South Carolina, main campus. It’s hole purpose is to provide financial aid to student-athletes in 20 varsity sports. This aid is in the form of recruitment, tuition fees and charges, meal cost, housing cost, medical cost, injury insurance and rehabilitation expense, as well as special education needs and tutorial sessions.
